RE-OPENING

24 JULY 2026

For nearly 100 years, the Tryon Garden Club has preserved and protected Pearson's Falls and Glen, a biological preserve and Natural Heritage Site unlike anywhere else in the region. We are proud to announce that after nearly 20 months of careful restoration following Hurricane Helene, we reopen July 24.

Every decision made during restoration has been guided by one principle: protect the fragile, rare ecology of this extraordinary mature cove forest.

We are grateful to the Polk County Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Henderson County for their generous support in making this restoration possible.

Coming August 2026…

Alongside our long-awaited reopening, we are launching our first-ever programs calendar - a collection of experiences as extraordinary as the place itself.

Guided hikes with the Guardian of the Glen (our amazing Director of Operations, Andy Ruff) . Bird walks through one of the richest cove forests in the region. Yoga on a pavilion hand-built from trees the storm left behind. And so much more.

This land has always had something to offer. Now, we're finding new ways to share it.

Listen. Experience. Enjoy.

We are proud to be designated as a North Carolina National Heritage Site of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area and a North Carolina Birding Trail Site.
